Dr. Timothy Henry-Rodriguez

Dr. Timothy Henry-Rodriguez specializes in Chumashan languages, Mongolic-Turkic languages, Old English, and English dialects. Along with his PhD, he also earned an emphasis in applied linguistics, which helped inform his dissertation, the first of its kind, a teaching grammar of Ventureño Chumash. He currently teaches at California State University, Fullerton, and he works regularly with the Barbareño/Ventureño Band of Mission Indians on Ventureño language revitalization.

Timothy’s expertise, combined with an openness and curiosity, make him especially helpful to our efforts. He has accompanied the mitsqanaqan speaking community to numerous AICLS programs and regularly attends community events.
